AACG Telecom Expert Publishes in Research in Law and Economics on Mandatory Sharing Requirement and Upward Pricing Pressure
In their recently published paper, “Mandatory Upstream Inputs and Upward Pricing Pressure: Implications for Competition Policy”, authors Dr. Timothy Tardiff, AACG Telecommunications Expert, and Dr. Dennis Weisman, Professor Emeritus Kansas State University, describe an approach to analyze price increases that can arise when certain firms are required to provide inputs to their competitors. The paper also identifies similar concerns associated with decisions to deregulate historically-regulated industries and in deliberations on whether proposed mergers may have anticompetitive effects. This paper was published in Research in Law and Economics.
